Put the outer tie rod end (3) on the inner tie rod (2) in the original position and then mount the end (3) in the steering knuckle. First, tighten the ball stud nut on the ball stud to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.) and afterward add another 90°. Now, turn the wheel so that toe-ing out occurs and use a torque wrench to tighten the jam nut (1) to 127 Nm (94 ft. lbs.).
