How to Service and Repair a Steering Column Cover for Lower on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500?

Reference the lower steering column and remove the two screws that connect the upper shroud to the lower shroud. The upper and lower shroud are connected by snap fasteners in the instrument cluster and near the steering wheel. After that, push gently inward and upward on each side above the lower shroud parting line to disengage the snap tabs under the upper shroud. Once done, open up the steering column opening cover on the instrument panel. Lastly, take out the lower shroud to column retaining screw and guide the lower shroud over the steering column tilt lever to remove it.
