2009 Dodge Viper Exhaust Manifold Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Replace the Right Exhaust Manifold on 2009 Dodge Viper?
A: Before you do anything, ensure the covering on the cylinder head isn't abraded or scratched. You should start by attaching a new gasket and then fasten the exhaust manifold. Tighten all the bolts to 29 Nm (257 in. lbs.). Lift the vehicle on a hoist and then join the exhaust to the manifold, fixing a new V-Band clamp tightly to 11 Nm (100 in. lbs.). Next, put the engine mount to frame nut on and tighten this to a torque of 102 Nm (75 ft. lbs.). After that, join the upstream oxygen sensor electrical connector. Drop the vehicle lower, then fit the cylinder head cover. Start by fitting the tower brace from the strut tower to the tower and apply air cleaner housing. After that, plug in the negative cable, replace the battery cover and lower the trunk lid.
