2009 Dodge Viper Rocker Arm Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Properly Install a Rocker Arm Assembly on 2009 Dodge Viper?
A: You should first inspect every part of the valvetrain before attaching the rocker assembly to prevent engine problems and also avoid accidentally letting push rods fall into the engine. Intake needs two rocker arms, all connected to the intake valve lifter and one rocker arm for the exhaust valve lifter. Place the rocker arms where the push rods fit under each rocker arm into the lifter. Turn the rocker arm bolt tightening tool to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.). The risk of engine damage can be prevented by spacing the rocker arms correctly. Put in place the cylinder head cover(s) as the final step.
