How to Maintain the Hood Cable for Optimal Performance on 2009 Jeep Commander?

Before servicing the hood cable, take out the hood latch. After that, remove the hood cable from the cable retainers attached to the hood. After entering the vehicle, unscrew the two screws that hold the hood release handle to the cowl. Afterward, disconnect the grommet from the side cowl panel and remove the hood cable assembly and handle.
