It's possible to replace a hood hinge without taking off the hood, simply replacing them one at a time. Pick a grease pencil and use it to trace the location of the hood hinge on the hood. Support the hood and take off the support cylinder that attaches to it. After that, take out the bolts on the front fender side of the hood hinge and then loosen the bolts on the hood that hold the hood hinge in place.
