How to Install a Muffler on a 3.7L/4.7L Engine on 2009 Jeep Commander?

Always hold the exhaust assembly by the hangers and slip it into position before installing the insulators. Install the front exhaust pipe/catalytic converter flange securely with two nuts and bolts and use a ground strap (5). Position the muffler or tailpipe assembly correctly so that the clearance between them and other nearby parts is a minimum of 25mm (1 inch). To the nuts (2), apply 47 Nm of torque (35 ft. lbs.). After that, add the RH shock absorber and install the stabilizer bar. Get the car to the ground, turn it on and examine the exhaust for leaks, following up with repairs if you find anything unusual.
