How to Install a Starter Motor for a 3.7/4.7L Engine on 2009 Jeep Commander?

Before putting in the starter motor, attach the solenoid wire to it and ensure it snaps in firmly. After that, place the battery cable over the solenoid stud and fit the battery cable eyelet nut, turning it until it is tight to 19 ft. lbs. (25 Nm), making sure the starter motor does not dangle from the wire harness. After that, install the starter motor onto the transmission. If your car is automatic, just place the cooler tube bracket in position. Mount and tighten the two bolts so they are torqued to 50 ft. lbs. (68 Nm). If you have 4WD and certain transmissions, insert 2 bolts into the transmission support and if there is one, put in the front drive shaft. At the end, lower the vehicle and link the negative terminal to the cable.
