  A: You should turn off the ignition and make sure all electrical features are switched off before handling the battery cables. Without a battery terminal puller, you may simply unplug the negative terminal clamp from the battery post; elsewise, insert a battery terminal puller first. To disconnect the positive battery cable, lift the positive cable's cover, make sure the pinch-bolt hex nut is loose, pull the other end of the cable with the terminal puller and free the cable clamp from the battery. Release the negative battery cable from its inner fender attachment and remove the corresponding screw. After that, unlock the cover of the Power Distribution Center and Integrated Power Module. First, remove the two nuts under the positive battery cable holding it to the B(+) studs in the PDC and then the nut holding it to the B(+) terminal stud in the IPM. Then, remove both battery positive cable eyelet terminals from the B(+) terminal studs. Remove the three pin battery connector from the battery tray by way of the battery wire harness.
