How to Replace a Rear Door Hinge Without Removing the Door on 2009 Jeep Compass?

It is possible to do rear door hinge replacement without removing the door if each hinge is dealt with individually and the proper sealant used when moving them. Get the door opened before you can start using the air conditioner. On the door, draw a vertical mark on the side where the hinge will go and on the B-pillar, draw a horizontal line below the top edge. After you take out the screws on the hinge side of the door, remove the bolts on the B-pillar side and then take off the hinge. Just like the upper hinge, mark the placement of the lower hinge on the door and the B-pillar, remove the door's nuts and remove both bolts from the B-pillar.
