• Q: How to Maintain and Fix the Rocker Arm on the Left Cylinder Head on 2009 Jeep Liberty?

  A: Disconnect the left battery cable from the negative before undertaking service or repair on the rocker arm assembly of the left cylinder head. Take out the cylinder head cover. Rotate the crankshaft to BDC position on cylinder No. 1 for rocker arm removal from cylinder No. 4. Place the crankshaft at BDC combustion stroke for cylinder No. 1. For cylinders No. 3 and No. 5, turn the crankshaft until cylinder No. 1 is at TDC for exhaust. When working on cylinders No. 2 and No. 6, turn the crankshaft until cylinder No. 1 reaches its TDC ignition stroke. Push the valve spring down using the Rocker Arm Remover/Installer 8516A to remove the rocker arm.
