How to Remove the Front Lower Control Arm on 2009 Jeep Patriot?

Before removing the front lower control arm, support the car by raising it. After that, loosen and remove the three wheel nuts and detach the whole tire and wheel assembly from the vehicle. Once the wheel is removed, take out the nut and pinch bolt securing the ball joint stud to the knuckle. Always be careful not to pull the C/V knuckle away from the ball joint stud outward, as this may break the inner C/V joint on the halfshaft. Limit your cutting so that you don't touch the ball joint seal. Raise the lower control arm as you pry with a prying tool against the bottom of the ball joint, lifting the stud out of the knuckle at the same time. After that, take out the front bolt holding the lower control arm to the front suspension crossmember and afterwards remove the nut and bolt from the rear side. Take off the lower control arm from the crossmember to finish.
