Is It Possible to Replace the Hood Hinge Without Detaching the Hood on 2009 Jeep Patriot?

You do not have to take out the whole hood when changing hood hinges; you can do it one at a time. Put a dot or line at the hinge position on the center of the hood to mark its location. First, support the hood and afterwards take out the bolts that connect the hood hinge to the front fender. At last, unscrew the nuts securing the hood hinge to the hood.
