How to Service a Power Steering Pump on 2009 Jeep Patriot?

Drain as much power steering fluid as you can from the reservoir before servicing the pump. After that, take out the engine appearance cover and the pressure hose routing bracket bolt at the top. Break the connection from the pressure hose at the pump pressure port and remove the clamp on the supply hose. After that, detach the hose running to the pump. Disconnect the drive belt, remove the three pump bolts through the openings and then pull the power steering pump free.
