- Q: How to Install a Battery Tray on 2009 Jeep Wrangler?A: Before installing the battery tray, make sure the battery's negative and positive cables are in the proper polarity since this might change depending on the type of engine. Place the battery tray into the engine area and only partially secure it by installing one nut and four bolts. Turn the screws to a tightness of 10.5 Nm (93 in. lbs.). After that, fit the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) and next install the battery. Once assembly (1) is placed into tray (4) and pushed down, join the fresh air tube (2) to the air cleaner assembly. The next step is to attach the battery negative cable.
