How to Service the Cigarette Lighter Auxiliary Power Outlet on 2009 Jeep Wrangler?

Before servicing the Auxiliary Cigarette Lighter, first remove the negative cable from the battery. Note the place where the retaining bosses are set. Use the special tool 9857 Cigarette Lighter Remover to push out each of the bosses from the base. Rock the tool slowly as you pull on the base to remove it through the mounting ring. Cut the base wire, take the base off and remove the base mount ring.
