2009 Jeep Wrangler Coil Springs Parts and Q&A
Q: How Are Front Coil Springs Installed on 2009 Jeep Wrangler?
A: To install the front coil spring, begin putting the jounce bumper into the mount and after that, set in the spring isolator. By rotating the spring and pushing gently down on the axle, the installation will become easier. Set the coil spring on the axle pad and you may have to turn the spring as you go along. Position the axle upward so that the spring comes to the stop in the top mount. After that, put the shock on the axle and then attach the track bar to the axle bracket. Set the lower suspension arms onto the frame and partway secure them with the bolts and nuts. Place the drag link around the right side knuckle. Remove the jack from the axle next and install the wheel and tire assemblies. Eliminate the supports and let the vehicle down, then fasten the lower suspension arms nuts to 169 Nm (125 ft. lbs.) at normal ride height with the vehicle loaded.
