How to Safely Remove Coil Springs from a Rear on Jeep Wrangler?

Before you remove the rear coil spring, put a hydraulic jack under the rear axle to raise and hold up the car. Next, remove the links between the stabilizer bar and the axle brackets and next remove the shock absorbers from the lowered brackets as well. After that, take off the track bar from the bracket on the axle. Lower the axle enough so the spring comes loose from the upper mount seat and then lift the spring out.

How Are Coil Springs Installed and Connected to the Axle on Jeep Wrangler?

To install the coil spring, first place it (1) on the axle pad isolator and raise the axle into place just until the spring fits onto the upper isolator. After that, join the stabilizer bar links to the axle bracket (3) and then join the shock absorbers to that same axle bracket (2). After that, fasten the track bar to the frame axle bracket (3). Take away the supports (2) and lower the vehicle.
