How to install a Differential Cover on 2009 Jeep Wrangler?

Before installing the differential cover, apply a 6.35 mm (1/4 in.) circle of Mopar Silicone Rubber Sealant or its equivalent to the housing cover. Installation of the housing cover is important within 3 to 5 minutes, because otherwise it needs to be removed, cleaned and the RTV needs to be refreshed to prevent any damage. After that, fasten the cover and addition tag and use a criss-cross method to tighten the cover bolts to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Following this, insert the differential to the marked level and place in the fill plug, tightening it to 25 ft. lbs./34 Nm.
