How to Service and Repair an Automatic Transmission Shifter on 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

To repair the transmission shifter, loosen set screw 2 and remove knob 1. Then, take out the center console assembly and shifter bezel. Disconnect the BTSI cable and shift cable, and remove the four nuts securing the shift mechanism to the floor pan to extract it.
