How to Remove a Crankshaft Seal on 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

For replacing the rear crankshaft seal, you must first take apart the transaxle before the flex plate. Next, fit the flat blade of your 3/16 screwdriver into the dust lip and into the crankshaft seal's metal housing, slowly pry them apart by angling the screwdriver sideways. Just be careful that the screwdriver doesn't touch the crankshaft seal, but it's okay if it comes into contact with the chamfering around the crankshaft.
