2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser Oil Pan Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove an Oil Pan on 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: The engine oil pan can be removed by lifting the car with a hoist, draining the oil using thing 2 and then taking out the engine oil filter, thing 1. After that, remove the accessory drive belt splash shield with part number 3. On cars that have turbochargers, disconnect the turbocharger, remove the charge air cooler hose and the oil cooler connector bolt, taking care not to let the coolant lines come out of the oil cooler and reposition the oil cooler. Once finished with the structural collar, remove the lower torque strut by part number 5. Following that, remove the oil filter adapter with part number 5 and gasket with part number 4. Then, get rid of the oil pan with part number 3 and the gasket with part number 2 and wash the pan and all the gasket areas.
