  A: Before servicing or repairing the throttle body in a 2.4L engine, first remove the air cleaner lid, unconnect the inlet air temperature sensor and makeup air hose and remove the negative battery cable. After that, detach the engine cover or the throttle control cover from the motorcycle, if it available. Withdraw the throttle cable by sliding it from the main throttle bracket after lifting the little tabs on the throttle body cam. To remove the speed control cable from the throttle lever, simply slide its clasp out of the hole behind the throttle cable. Start by pulling off the EVAP purge hose from the throttle body's nipple and then remove the electrical connectors from the throttle position sensor and idle air control motor. Seat the two screws on the cable bracket and support bracket and then get rid of the bolts that hold the throttle body. Remove the gas canister by lifting the throttle body straight up and away.
