2010 Chrysler Town & Country Air Bag Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service the Air Bag Sensor for Side Impact in the Second Row Seating Area on 2010 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Before working on the side impact sensor in the second row, turn off the SRS by disconnecting and isolating the battery's negative cable, then wait two minutes for the system capacitor to drain completely. Pull the sliding door open and take off the sliding door sill plate underneath it. Unplug the body wire harness connector from the side impact sensor on the top of the lower sliding door channel panel. Pull the side impact sensor out by its screw first, then straighten it up to remove the anti-rotation pin from the clearance hole on the sliding door channel panel. Make sure to take out the side impact sensor from your vehicle. A drop during service will make the sensor unusable and it has to be repaired or replaced.
