2010 Chrysler Town & Country Brake Light Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service a Brake Light Switch on 2010 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: First, turn off the SRS to stop anything from triggering the air bag by disconnecting the negative cable of the battery and waiting for two minutes. The brake lamp switch is (3) on the pedal support bracket (1) under the steering column. Press and hold the brake pedal after finding it. Move the brake lamp switch housing (2) by turning it counterclockwise 30 degrees to bring the switch locking collar over the keyed square hole on the brake pedal mounting bracket (1). Pull the switch all the way back so it breaks contact with the bracket and once that's done, release the brake pedal. At this point, disconnect the body wire harness connector (2) from the brake lamp switch.
