2010 Dodge Caliber Air Bag Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Ensure Safety and Proper Functionality When Servicing an Air Bag Sensor on 2010 Dodge Caliber?
A: First, put the car in Park, turn off the car and disable the SRS by disconnecting the negative battery cable, avoiding bad injury by letting it sit for two minutes to drain the system. Striking or dropping the front impact sensor may harm it or change its calibration, so you need to change it if that happens to make sure the SRS works properly in front of your car. You can use the sensors from either the front or side impact sensors in any position. Open the bottle by taking out the screw that fastens the impact sensor onto the side radiator support vertical. Following that, take out the front impact sensor from the engine compartment by disconnecting the engine compartment wire harness connector from the sensor's receptacle.
