2010 Dodge Caliber Control Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove the Front Lower Control Arm on 2010 Dodge Caliber?
A: You should first raise and support the vehicle before removing the front lower control arm. After that, take off both wheel mounting nuts and the whole tire and wheel group. After that, remove the nut and pinch bolt holding the ball joint stud to the knuckle. Take care not to apply outward pressure when separating the knuckle from the ball joint stud, to avoid damaging the C/V joint in the halfshaft. Always be sure not to cut the ball joint seal when you are separating the hinge areas. Lift the control arm up and push down on the boss on the knuckle with your prying tool to take out the ball stud from the knuckle. After that, remove the front bolt connecting the lower control arm to the front crossmember, then take out the nut from the rear bolt and remove the bolt. Remove the lower control arm from the crossmember as the last step.
