How to Effectively Service and Repair a Starter Motor on 2010 Dodge Challenger?

Before servicing or repairing the starter motor, cut off the connection to the negative cable at the battery to insulate it. Following that, take out the left side catalytic converter in accordance with the steps given in your manual. Following that, remove the battery cable nut and battery cable from the solenoid stud. Take out the red cable from your starter solenoid to disconnect the electrical connector. While the electrical harness mounting bracket stays put, remove the starter mounting bolts. After that, disassemble the starter system from the transmission and detach the starter motor dust shield.
