How to Remove the Front Engine Timing Cover on 2010 Dodge Challenger?

First, isolate the negative battery cable before trying to remove the timing cover. After that, remove the air cleaner element housing, partially drain the cooling system and then get rid of the accessory drive belt (6). Once done, remove the accessory drive belt idler pulley and the accessory drive belt tensioner (1). With the access holes on the pulley, unbolt the three power steering pump mounting bolts and slide the pump over into position. After that, disconnect the hose at the upper radiator (3), remove the connector to the fan's electrical system (2) and unscrew the bolts holding the cooling fan assembly (1) in place. Go ahead and remove the crankshaft damper bolt before using Puller 1023 (1) and Crankshaft Insert 9020 (2) to take off the crankshaft damper. After that, take off the fasteners holding the timing belt upper cover and the front upper timing belt cover (2) and the fasteners securing the timing belt lower cover and the front lower timing belt cover (7).
