2010 Jeep Liberty Brake Caliper Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Rear Brake Caliper on 2010 Jeep Liberty?
A: Always put in the brake pads before you begin the process of removing and replacing the rear brake caliper. After that, install the caliper and tighten its bolts to 37 Nm (28 ft. lbs.), checking that the brake hose is not twisted or kinked before you finish fastening the fitting bolt. Ensure you secure the pipe to the caliper with fresh seal washers and use the banjo bolt to attach it securely. Remember to tighten it up to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.). Then, remove the prop rod and be sure to bleed the repair section of the brake system; if the pedal does not feel right after bleed, carry out a base bleed system. Put the wheel and tire onto the hub and then remove the support stands and bring the vehicle down. Check that a firm pedal is there before starting to move the vehicle.
