  A: Before repairing or adjusting the vacuum brake booster on a left-hand drive car, disconnect the wire from the fluid level switch at the bottom of the tank. Following this, take out the master cylinder. Unhook the vacuum hoses from the booster check valve first and then take the brake lines out of the master cylinder and HCU to give yourself enough room. Don't hold onto the HCU and pull it to the side so you can remove the booster. To start, remove the knee blocker just under the steering column and throw away the brake lamp switch so that it is not used again. Remove the clamp that locks the booster push rod to the brake pedal and take out the nuts holding the booster to the car's dashboard.
