2010 Jeep Wrangler A/C Hose Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove the A/C Hose Suction Line on 2010 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Before removing the A/C suction line, disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. Take out the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Following that, remove the nut holding the A/C liquid line to the A/C expansion valve and release the A/C liquid line and suction line from the valve. Throw the old O-ring seals away. Should this be necessary, remove the metal retaining bracket that holds the A/C liquid line to the suction line. On 2.8L diesel engines, take the air line off the throttle body and put it aside. After that, take off the nut holding the A/C suction line to the compressor, break the seal between the suction line and the compressor and throw away the O-ring and gasket. Install plugs or tape in the open liquid and suction line fittings as well as the ports on the compressor and expansion valve.
