How to Install a Vapor Canister for Emission Control on 2010 Jeep Wrangler?

To put in the evaporative emission control canister, set it into the mounting bracket and then attach the locking tab. Set the two front bolts (2) into the EVAP canister mounting bracket (1) and tighten them each to 14 Nm (10 ft. lbs.), then do the same with the rear bolt (2a). Attach the fresh air hose (1) to the ESIM switch (2) and connect the electrical connector (4) to that same ESIM switch (2). After that, join the fuel tank vapor line quick-connect fitting (3) to the EVAP canister and bring the vehicle down to the ground. See to it that every vapor/vacuum line and hose is tightly plugged, because leaks may cause a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). After that, inspect the vapor and vacuum lines at the ESIM switch, EVAP canister and EVAP purge solenoid to ensure there are no cracks or leaks.
