2010 Jeep Wrangler EGR Valve Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an EGR Valve on 2010 Jeep Wrangler?
A: When servicing or repairing the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve, begin by unplugging the vehicle's negative battery cable. After that, unmount the EGR tube and removed the upper intake manifold. Release the ignition wires from the spark plugs in the right bank and take out the ignition wire harness tray from the valve studs, placing the harness as you see fit. Take out the electrical connector from the EGR valve. For cars with auto gearboxes, support the vehicle first, then remove the upper bolt from the fluid level indicator tube, take out the lower bolt and put the tube back into place. Drop the car and then take out the two EGR valve bolts to remove the part. After that, dispose of the gasket.
