2010 Jeep Wrangler Wiper Motor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Wiper Motor on 2010 Jeep Wrangler?
A: In the back, place the motor and bracket combination on the inside of the lift glass so that the plastic spacer and the rubber seal are properly between the output housing and the hole in the glass. After placing the motor, install and close down the nut that holds the motor mounting bracket to the left lift glass hinge lower stud, so the torque is 6 Nm (53 in. lbs.). The special fastener has to be rotated clockwise to unscrew and counterclockwise to tighten it back. Keep supporting the motor while adding the special screw that fastens the motor bracket to the lift glass, remembering to tighten it to 4 Nm or 35 in. lbs. Pull the hardtop wire harness back into position in the rear wiper motor pigtail wire harness connector and connect the hardtop washer hose to the rear washer nozzle nipple on that same transmission. Fit the guide pins on the cover's rear into the holes on the bracket, then press the cover down until it locks into position by the three snap clip retainers. Move the lift glass down and make sure the swing gate is closed before putting the rubber seal and plastic spacer over the rear wiper motor output shaft. Use a wrench to put 4 Nm (35 in. lbs.) torque on the nut fixing the output shaft to the lift glass and then attach the plastic nut cover to the output shaft. Put the rear wiper arm onto the output shaft and then attach the negative battery wire.
