Place the front lower section of the hood hinge inside the ledge of the front fender on the car. Fit and tighten the two screws holding the hinge to the fender to their proper specified torque of 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). After that, slide the hood panel onto the upper hinge bracket on the car and tighten the two screws that hold the hinge in place to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). If necessary, put the top end of the support cylinder into the upper hinge bracket. Detach the support holding the hood up during your service and close the hood after. Then, place the hood hinge where it should be to make sure the spacing and operation work well.
