Before touching the power seat motor, make sure to disconnect and separate the black negative
Battery Cable. If the front tilt motor isn't working, move the seat and take off the
Seat Cushion and pan. First, disconnect the motor's wires from the connector, then loosen and remove the brackets fixed to the seat adjuster. If the motor isn't working and the seat is not fully raised, be careful not to remove the mounting fasteners too soon, as the assembly's upward reaction may damage the motor. If you have adjusted the power seat up all the way by using the motor, disconnect the battery after that. After the seat comes off, disconnect the seat cushion and pan, remove the connector between the motor and seat and take out the fasteners holding the motor in place on the seat adjuster. After that, unscrew the screw and washer fixed to the motor shaft and lift the motor out of the seat adjuster. If there are signs of a loose locking pawl, a locking pawl engaged in the seat frame side member or a broken or missing shear pin, completely replace the height adjuster assembly before performing any repairs, this will help avoid personal injury or death.
