The first step in servicing or repairing your radiator support is to take out and isolate the negative cable from the battery. Take out the front fascia and the headlamp units. Separate the headlamp wire harness from the horns and next, take out all the bolts which attach the horns to the headlamp mounting crossmember; then remove the horns. Show where the
Hood Latch lies next to the front end of the crossmember to help you when you install the hood latch later. Take out the bolts that secure the radiator mounting brackets to the front lamp crossmember and mark where that crossmember connects with other parts. After that, mark the spot where the headlamp mounting crossmember should be placed at the front fenders and unbolt the crossmember from the front fender and frame rails. Take the headlamp mounting crossmember out of the area above the engine. To mount the headlamp, set the headlamp mounting crossmember where it sits in the motor compartment and lightly screw in the bolts that connect it to the fenders and frame. Put the crossmember in place and attach all bolts to 28 N.m on the mentioned points. Secure the horns with bolts and mount the headlamp units. Fasten the negative cable back to the battery, lower and close the hood gently and make sure the hood is properly locked and all the panels fit together.
