Chrysler 300M Radiator Drain Plug Parts and Q&A

  • Q:
How to Safely and Effectively Service a Radiator Drain Plug on Chrysler 300M?
    A:
You need to make sure that the radiator drain plug is cool and not pressurised when servicing the radiator. Failure to do so may cause serious burns to the coolant as it comes out. Don't use pliers on the draincock or remove it unless you notice leakage. The draincock stem must be turned counterclockwise to unscrew it completely. Then, turn it back 1/8 turn and pull the stem from the radiator tank. For installation, push the draincock assembly body into the tank opening until it clicks into place. Finally, tighten the draincock stem by turning it clockwise until it stops.
