  Before changing the front wiper arms, open the hood and take out the negative connection from the remote battery post. Take out the wiper module from your vehicle and detach the slave link from the pivot levers by loosening the ball and socket. Following that, remove the wiper module master link from the pivot lever and motor crank as you did before. Mentally note that out of the seven mounting grommets, the ones on the rear inboard and forward outboard may need to have their eyelet removed from the rubber isolator when taking them out. Should it be needed, remove the "U" nut from the body. When putting the master link or slave link in place, remove the special tools after wrapping them in cloth to protect the ball joint from damage and add light force as you join the ball with the socket. Any time a module is taken off, check and replace any damaged, cracked or broken mounting grommets too.

  To work on the wiper arm, cycle the wiper arm into PARK mode and shut off the ignition. Pick up a trim stick (special tool C-4755) or an alternative one and gently lift the cap that holds the retaining nut to remove it. After that, loosen and remove the retaining nut from the part where the wiper arm pivot attaches. Lift the arm up so the Wiper Blade is clear of the windshield, rock it left and right while it's on the pivot and then take it out of the car. When installing, secure the wiper arm to the wiper pivot and attach the retaining nut to the arm pivot. Later, fit the wiper arm retaining nut cap as directed by the manual. Next, move the wiper blades back and forth a few times so the arms are in the right place; make changes if needed.
