    Before you remove the shifter A/T, take out the cover and reinforcement from the steering column. Then, pull out the tilt lever knob and remove the columns' covers. Unfasten the Brake Light Switch, then unscrew the column bolts to drop the column down enough for the gear shift lever removal. Release the switch for towing from the car and remove the Shift Cable from inside the shift lever. First, SKIM and second, take out the screws holding the gear shift lever before removing it. Make sure to remove the blocker pin from where it is sitting in the inhibit link slot.
