Place the stud into the hub flange as your first step to install it. Then, set three correctly sized washers on the stud and use a lug nut, with the flat side facing the washers, to secure them. Tighten the lug nut enough so that the stud is snugly into the hub flange at the proper position. Now remove both the lug nut and each washer after this. Now, put in the brake rotor, adapter and caliper. After that, put in the wheel speed sensor. Attach the wheel and tire using a brand-new lug nut on the studs you swapped, undo the vehicle's support and let it drop.
