Before you replace the actuator, disconnect and isolate the car's negative
Battery Cable, leave it disconnected for two minutes to drain the air bag capacitor and then disable the air bag system. Open the hood and remove the negative cable from the remote terminal on the remote battery post. Get rid of the left and right underpanel silencer/ducts, then unscrew two fasteners from the actuator found on the right side of the center stack and a single screw from the actuator on the left. Remove the actuator from the shaft vertically, separating the wire from the control box and marking the shaft position since it can be unique. Begin by placing the keyed shaft in the HVAC housing properly, then connect the wire harness connector to the blend door actuator. Screw down all three fasteners to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.) and pull in the final underpanel silencers/ducts. At last, attach the negative battery cable remote terminal back to the remote battery post.
