  Install the engine oil cooler by first fitting the radiator, then tighten the cooler lines to the radiator to 18 Nm (160 in. lbs.). When you attach the cooler lines to the radiator fittings and clip, tighten them to exactly 18 Nm (160 in. lbs.). After placing the new line fittings on the engine and Oil Pan, tighten them down with 30 Nm (260 in. lbs.) of force, push the lines into the fittings to where they sit properly and check the connection by pulling the lines in and releasing them. In the end, attach the lines to the support bracket. With the original cooler lines, move them toward the engine and oil pan and withdraw and tighten the hose connectors to 30 Nm (260 in. lbs.). Hold the valve upright and step into the fitting on the engine block and tighten to 30 Nm (260 in. lbs.). Place the valve into the fitting and lower it until it remains there by itself and check that it fits properly by pulling it toward you and away from you. After that, join the supply line to the control valve and tighten the fitting to 30 Nm (260 in. lbs.).

  Start your cooling system service by first separating the cooler lines at the radiator. To take off the quick connect cooler lines, you only need to unscrew them from the Oil Pan and block; this design must be done just once. After that, remove the screws on the engine block and oil pan lines, pull the lines away from the support bracket and retainer and then remove the lines. To take out the pressure control valve, detach the supply line and unscrew its fitting from the engine block. Start by placing the radiator assembly and at the same time install the oil cooler lines to the fittings, use torque value of 18 Nm (160 in. lbs.). Connect the lines from the cooler to the radiator fittings and the retainer clip and ensure you tighten them to 18 Nm (160 in. lbs.). When installing new cooler lines, screw the lines into the engine block and oil pan, making sure to tighten them to 30 Nm (260 in. lbs.), position them over the fittings, push them into place until they hold and check their fit by pulling on them in-and-out. Link the lines to the support bracket. If replacing the original cooler lines, hold them to the oil pan and engine, tighten the fittings to 30 Nm (260 in. lbs.) and then connect them to the support bracket.
