First, loosen the negative terminal on the battery and remove both the battery and the tray it sits on to service the radiator cooling fan on these engines. Let the radiator cool below the upper edge of the radiator hose and then remove the grille, upper panel of the radiator and the center fascia. Take the upper radiator hose off the radiator and if your car has a turbocharger, remove the radiator inlet neck. Lift the vehicle and remove the radiator fan electrical connection. Pull out the lower and left side radiator fan screws and then lower the vehicle to remove the rest of the radiator fan connectors effortlessly without hurting anything inside the radiator. At the last stage, take the radiator fan out from above the engine.
