Secondly, the balance shaft sprocket should be aligned to the timing mark (3) and the copper teeth (1) of the timing chain. The camshaft sprockets (6) are inserted into the timing chain working in unison with the camshaft sprocket timing marks (4) and (5) which are aligned with the copper teeth (1) of the timing chain. With sprockets, Install the timing chain into the guides on the timing chain (1). Special Tools 9104 (1) and 9105 Camshaft Locating Plates are used to lock the camshaft sprockets. Oil pump, oil pump drive chain (2) and oil pump drive chain tensioner (1) are installed. Point the engine upright then install the timing chain cover with the bolts tightly set to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.). Remove Special Tools 9104 and 9105 Camshaft Locating Plates from camshaft sprockets, finally.
