How to Service and Repair Door Moldings on Rear Window Glass on Chrysler Pacifica?

Before you can service and repair the weather strip or molding around the rear door window, first lower the window all the way. Take out the rear inner molding weather strip as well as the fixed glass run channel. Remove the screws from the outer belt molding that hold it in place along the inside part of the rear door at the B-pillar and C-pillar. Use tool #9093 to insert it between the glass and edge of the mold in the rear, then move it ahead about 14 cm (5.5 in.). Firmly push down on the outside molding but keep the tool in place around the vehicle. Then, have someone move the top of the tool outwards while you pull up the molding. Do this as often as necessary until the molding can be taken off and then take out the outer belt weather strip. For putting on the molding, slide it into place and use a gentle hammer to press down or tap it until it has attached properly. Reinstall the screws for the belt molding at both B- and C-pillars, then add the fixed glass run channel, the rear inner molding weather strip and the door trim panel. After that, close the window.

You should start by loosening the screw holding the front end of the molding to the rear door. After that, separate the clips locking the end of the belt molding to the door. Tap a rubber mallet gently against a block of wood and place the block against each clip, pushing up to separate the molding from the door. During installation, fasten the belt molding to the door by pushing or tapping downward at each clip. After that, put the rear clips into the rear door and lastly, screw the front part of the molding securely in place.
