Before replacing the driver seat switch, disconnect the negative
Battery Cable remote terminal from the remote battery post and lift the hood. Before starting on any part of a seat or power seat system, especially in vehicles that have seatback air bags, make sure to first separate the negative cable from the battery and let the system capacitor empty for two minutes. After that, take off the cushion side shield and unplug the wiring from the switch. Unscrew the knobs and remove the attaching screws on the cable side to pull out the switch from the side shield. Align the switch and hold it with the attaching screws, then place the knobs on the switch and join the wiring electrical connector. Lastly, slide the side shield back into place on the seat cushion and link the negative cable remote terminal to the battery post.
