The Thermostat is an essential part, which underlines the solidity and efficacy of Chrysler's primus inter pares, the LHS. This thermostat is very essential in regulating the engine heat to a correct temperature that will facilitate efficiency and prevent the engine's damage. The Thermostat is a closed loop control system as it can sense the temperature and controls the coolant flow to achieve the set point. Different LHS models might use different kinds of thermostats, for example, wax pellet thermostats are very effective; their nature is that they change their size due to heating and cooling. Apart from positively interfering with the general efficiency of the Chrysler LHS cooling system, this advanced technology also improves the comfort of passengers in the car. The Chrysler LHS was manufactured from the year 1994 to2001 and included luxurious components integrated in the car; therefore, the thermostat is a significant component of the car's design. The Thermostat is one of the best car parts in the automotive market with a strong construction and versatility in different models of LHS. Since it keeps the engine temperatures at the most appropriate levels that can be good for the vehicle's performance and durability fully supports the quality and innovation slogan of Chrysler. Therefore, Thermostat can be considered as one the major factors that keep LHS as a notable and attractive option for connoisseurs of luxury sedans.

Chrysler LHS Thermostat Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain Your Thermostat on Chrysler LHS?
    A:
Begin thermostat servicing only when the system is in the neutral position and not under pressure. Take the negative cable off the remote jumper terminal and release all the pressure in the cooling system. Put the car on a lift, then remove the electrical connections from the engine and power steering pressure switches. After that, unhook the radiator and heater hoses from the Thermostat Housing, remove the housing bolts and get rid of the housing, thermostat and gasket. Clean the part of the housing that will make contact with the gasket and put the thermostat and gasket inside the housing, being sure to secure them with bolts. With the bolts spaced at one of the fan speeds, attach the housing and thermostat to the cylinder block; tighten the bolts to 12 Nm (105 inch lbs.). Put back the hoses for the heater and radiator, ensure you have installed hose clamps along them and reconnect the electrical couplings to the pressure switches for engine oil and power steering. After that, gently lower the vehicle, attach the negative cable to the remote jumper and add fluid to the cooling system.
