Chrysler LHS Washer Pump Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service a Washer Pump on Chrysler LHS?
    A:
You should begin by opening the hood and then unhook the negative cable from the battery terminal. Raise the vehicle and take off the front fascia on the left side by propping the left edge with a 2x4 board against the body. Make sure the wire connectors are disconnected from the reservoir pump, then carefully pull the pump out from the reservoir through the top grommet. Take away and discard the rubber grommet in the reservoir. As installation, set a new rubber grommet into the reservoir and insert the pump motor without poking the rubber through the reservoir. Connect the wires to the reservoir pump and place it back on the tank. After that, fasten the left front fascia on top of the box with the 2x4. Reach under the vehicle and hook the negative terminal from the battery back up to its corresponding post.
  • Q: How to Maintain Your Washer Pump for Optimal Performance on Chrysler LHS?
    A:
First, open the hood and take out the negative Battery Cable from its post. Put an A-frame under the car, lift and slide a 2x4 between the fascia of the left side and the body to raise it. Remove the wire connectors from the reservoir pump, then carefully lift the pump out through the grommet spot, without hurting the reservoir. Take the rubber grommet from the top of the reservoir and throw it away. While installing, operate in reverse. Get a new rubber grommet for the new pump, put it in place and check if the pump is seated properly in the reservoir. Once you swap out the reservoir pump, don't forget to refill or replace the washer fluid.
